The bridge that does not fall

Imagine a bridge two miles long and just enough strength to hold ten thousand kilos of weight, but not an ounce more. A heavy truck, weighing a total of exactly ten thousand kilos, enters the
bridge. At its core, a sparrow weighing 25 grams lands on the truck, however, the bridge does not collapse. How is that possible?
